about

In these unique and challenging times, we are being confronted with the consequences of stubbornly clinging to ideological points of view. Pragmatic remedies and their temporary inconveniences are misconstrued as existential threats to life and freedom. To be denied anything for the sake and safety of others is to selfishly mistaken empathy as oppression. We become woefully ignorant and self-obsessed. Despair grows and threatens to break through at any time. We punch each other for toilet paper.

The Quarantine EP, the latest release from The Do Nothing Machine, was influenced by the often ridiculous consequences of panic-induced behavior, the sullenness of confronting willful ignorance, and the feeling of hope which accompanies patience.

All songs were written and recorded by The Do Nothing Machine. For the best listening experience use headphones. In lieu of purchasing the album, please consider making a donation to your local First Responders.
